I’ll be honest this looks like someone watched ‘The Never Ending Story’ on some recreational substances and thought to themselves, HELL I can just make one of these and no one will know the difference!
A dragon was shot dead at a house near a durian orchard when its owner realised that he has been losing a few of his pet rabbits as of late. The durian orchard owner, Boon Chin Yo, was sleeping in the 2-storey house when he was suddenly awoken by a rabbit’s screams and a weird noise, much like a tiger. He peeped from the stairs only to find a strange animal with horns and long whiskers attacking a rabbit. Out of panic, he quickly made a grab for his auto rifle and shot at it 8 times, causing the strange animal fall onto the floor. After ensuring that it was really dead, he was shocked to find that it was a white dragon with fur like a rabbit. When met with reporters, he said, “I wouldn’t have guessed that it’d turn out to be a white dragon. It shocked me.” The Chinese believe that when a dragon enters your home, it’s supposed to bring luck and its horns can fetch thousands of ringgit. Meanwhile, Boon Chin Yo confirmed that he has no plans to sell the white dragon because it’s likely that it’d end up preserved for public viewing.
Yes folks it's fake.
But wait, There is more!
Some fossils, named the “China dragon fossils”, were recently exhibited in the Xinwei Ancient Life Fossils Museum in Anshun, Guizhou.
The dragon fossil was found in Guanling County, Anshun City, in 1996, and has been kept in a good condition. It is measured 7.6 meters long. Its head is 76 centimeters long and the neck is 54 centimeters long. The body is 2.7 meters in length and 68 centimeters in width, and the tail is 3.7 meters long. The dragon’s head is in a triangle shape. Its mouth is 43 centimeters long. The widest part of the head is 32 centimeters long. The horns project from the widest part of the head, and are symmetrical and 27 centimeters long. They are a little bit curved and tilted, which makes the fossil look very much like the legendary dragon. The China dragon was a reptile animal living in the ocean in Triassic Period about 200 million years ago. It was an amphibian. It spent most of its time living in water, although sometimes it walked on land. It also laid eggs on land. The animal lived on fish and small reptile animals. This is the first time that China found a dragon fossil with a pair of horns. Its discovery provides some evidence to prove that dragons might really have horns. The fossil provides important scientific information for people to trace the origin of the Chinese legendary dragon.
Yes. This, too, is FAKE. As if you had to be told.
Footage taken by various witnesses at the scene shows dozens of villagers surrounding the suspected dragon remains. The villagers are not sure what to make of the skeleton, but a superstitious few seemed convinced that they were indeed looking at the remains of the mythical creature.
The SUN decided to cover this, too: https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/4701048/dragon-skeleton-found-china-village-video/
A 60FT skeleton was discovered by Chinese villagers who are convinced it is the remains of a DRAGON.
Residents from Zhangjiakou City, in China’s northern Hebei Province, stumbled across the mysterious bones and filmed their discovery.
Yes folks this, too, is Fake.
Chinese Dragon Bones / Peking Man
It is thought that Chinese have believed in dragon mythology for thousands of years, with the earliest depictions being in Neolithic caves in Asia between 5,000 and 6,000 B.C.. It has long been thought that the bones of petrified dragons could be found throughout China, although these have all since that time been identified as fossilized dinosaur bones or other types of more recent fossils, including reptiles, birds, mammals and even humans. These “dragon bones” were thought to have special curing powers and were commonly sold by ancient “pharmacies” to heal illnesses. One such case of early human and mammal bones being sold as dragon bones was just outside of Peking, which is now known as modern day Beijing, the capital of China. Peking Man (homo erectus pekinensis) was a very early human ancestor who lived around 700,000 years ago, and was discovered in the 1920’s in a locality known as “Dragon Bone Hill”, named because it was a quarry from which these fraudulent medical dragon bones were regularly extracted. A Swedish-American team first identified the possible human ancestors from teeth that they found in this hill – these fossils otherwise may have ended up as medicine. Originally, early hominid bones were thought to be merely misformed apes (such as Eugene Dubois’ discovery of Homo erectus in 1891), but it wasn’t long before the study of early human ancestors picked up. Peking Man also faced further controversy later on when its bones were stolen during one of the World Wars, never to be found again. These “dragon bones” weren’t necessarily maliciously replicated or altered fossils, but they were purposely misidentified and as such I decided to throw them in as “fraudulent fossils”.
So if all these are fake, did dragons exist?
Well it is often believed that Prehistoric Remains of Dinosaurs have always been the source of such claims.
Ancient 'dragon' found in Wales, named Dracoraptor hanigani
Dinosaur scientist Steven Vidovic, from the University of Portsmouth, one of the experts whose description of D. hanigani appears in the online journal Public Library of Science ONE, said: "The Triassic-Jurassic extinction event is often credited for the later success of dinosaurs through the Jurassic and Cretaceous, but previously we knew very little about dinosaurs at the start of this diversification and rise to dominance.
"Now we have Dracoraptor, a relatively complete two metre-long juvenile theropod from the very earliest days of the Jurassic in Wales."
Dinosaurs seem boring when you compare their reality to the Fire Breathing Dragons of ancient lore. My favorite as a child was the one beneath the mountain in Middle Earth from J.R.R. Tolkein’s classic Hobbit and Lord of the Rings series. I didn’t even grasp the concept of wealth back in grade school, but what I did understand was dragons were cool, and an invisible ring was cooler.
